About Us
Martha Crawford - Project Founder
Martha received a Master's of Social Work from New York University in 1995, and a post-master's Advanced Certificate in Clinical Social work from the same institution in 1999. She worked as a clinical social worker, a psychotherapist, a field instructor and a clinical supervisor for over twenty-five years in New York City.
During the 2016 election she was diagnosed with a unique, unstageable, cancer that required she reformulate her career toward community and group work. It was during cancer treatment that she opened the first 45 Dreams Project website and began collecting dreams.

Bill is a renown actor and mime who studied with the legendary Marcel Marceau and currently serves on the faculties of New York University, Stella Adler Conservatory, and William Esper Studios. He is also presently a Visiting Professor at Williams College. He holds an MFA from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, and an Honorary PhD from Rocky Mountain College.

Laura Annawyn Shamas: Playwriting & Mythology
is a 2023 Winner of the Los Angeles New Play Project Award for her play FOUR WOMEN IN RED
Her background includes Chickasaw, English, French, Irish, Lebanese, and Scottish heritage. She is a Chickasaw Nation citizen.
Her plays have been produced in the U.S., Europe, the U.K., Canada and Australia. In the U.S., her shows have been performed in San Francisco; Chicago; New York; Los Angeles; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; and other major cities. She also writes non-fiction and fiction. Her Ph.D. is in Mythological Studies.
Gogo Khayela: Psychology & Indigenous Healing
Is a sangoma, healer and academic, who teaches and does research at two South African universities.
She offers spiritual guidance and coaching, as well as an African indigenous-healing based services that strive to promote well-being, understanding and acceptance of life that is rooted and intent on ethical response to daily living.
Sarah Quinn - Audio Team/Podcast Coordinator: Sarah is a sociologist, teacher, and advisor. Her work focuses on how social systems shape daily life, and how we can locate possibilities for human flourishing within those systems.
Elizabeth Honer: Visual Arts and Video Coordinator:
Elizabeth is a graphic artist and animator with over 15 years experience of exploration into the world of dreaming. Her work was shown at the 2025 Annual Dream Conference for theInternational Association for the Study of Dreamsand her dream art was featured on the Fall 2025 cover of their periodical magazine DreamTime.
Beth Howard - Dream Community Connector:
Beth is a cultural strategist, longtime southern community organizer, and author of Song For a Hard-Hit People: A Memoir of Anti-Racist Solidarity From a Coal Miner's Daughterfrom Haymarket Books. She is a dream and tarot enthusiast and creator of To Return to My Trees, the first in a series of Dream Time Zines she is creating based on collaborative dreamwork.
Elena Solano - Community and Creative Consultant
is a clinical social worker, psychotherapist, visual artist, and creative consultant.
She believes that dreams + active imagination offer pathways toward liberation and re-generation.
She is supported and strengthened by community and movement partners and guided by principles of liberation psychologies and world-building philosophies.
