I am in an exhibition on the Black panthers at the Smithsonian. It's in an old building, maybe the 3rd floor and the exhibit is very bare bones, sort of old fashioned but carefully arranged. I find it refreshing. It is composed of long wooden tables on which there are neat stacks of photographs; small labels handwritten in pencil are at the front of each table. On one table right in front of a window looking out at a bright blue sky there is only one photo. It also has a bright blue color but I can't make out the image. The label says "The country was aligned" meaning aligned with the Black panther movement. Twice I hear a Black parent telling their child "The country was not aligned."
