I dreamed I sat down at a table with friends and said, "Maybe it will happen today." ~ Anonymous
I was at a concert with my family including my husband, father, and sisters. I went to the merchandise table to buy some t-shirts and other things. The man behind the table asked for my ID. I gave it to him and he said "Hmm, I have to check something." and disappeared into a back room. By this time the merchandise table and concert setting had morphed into some kind of administrative office with a counter and desks and computers behind it. It was taking a long time for the man to return. I asked a woman how much longer it would take as the concert was over and I had my 88 year-old father with us and they were ready to go home. At that point, the man return with a report and my ID and said "I have to hold on to this. The report says this isn't you. This report says this belongs to woman in California named Li Lang." At this point I became very agitated and said that's crazy, that ID is me! The woman behind the counter said "We just don't understand how you had short hair and now you have long hair." I pulled out my phone and began scrolling to find pictures of myself from the past with both short and long hair but had trouble finding any. I turned to one of my sisters and said "I've had short hair and long hair, right?" They showed me the report and the words "Li Lang" and "California" were on it. I was panicking and then woke up. ~ Anonymous
I am traveling, attending a conference in Germany. On the last day of an otherwise pleasant trip, the group I’m with is told that we are to leave the country as soon as possible because there was a sudden police crackdown on migrants & immigrants. People were being approached and arrested on the streets, and crowds of protesters and counter-protesters were building. I’m not a migrant, but I am a brown-skinned woman in a sea of mostly white people. It starts to rain and flash flood warnings are issued. I’m in a car in heavy traffic, trying to get to the airport to catch my flight. The street is filling up with rushing water, becoming a river. I’m afraid the car engine will be flooded out and we will be trapped.
In the end, a driver working for our group takes the wheel and is able to take us directly to the plane – bypassing airport security & customs. I find myself suddenly on the plane, about to take my seat, amazed that we made it to safety.
